2-Piece Forged Wheels: B2B Quote Checklist - Hailed Inc.

A design photo is useful when sourcing custom wheels, but it is not a complete quotation request. For a two-piece forged wheel project, the buyer and supplier need one written specification that connects the vehicle, wheel dimensions, appearance, quantity, packaging, and destination.

This guide uses Hailed Inc. Forged Wheels (2 PC-01) as the product reference. Its purpose is to help distributors, tuning shops, automotive retailers, and project buyers prepare a clearer B2B inquiry before pricing or production details are confirmed.

1. Identify the exact vehicle and market

Start with the vehicle information. A model name alone may not identify the brake package, trim, or market-specific configuration that affects wheel fitment.

Include the following details in the first inquiry:

  • Vehicle make, model, and year
  • Trim or performance version
  • Destination market or country
  • Current wheel and tire size
  • Front and rear brake information
  • Clear photos of the vehicle, current wheels, and brake area

If the vehicle has modified brakes, suspension, fenders, or hubs, state that before asking for a fitment recommendation. The supplier should review the actual project information instead of assuming that every vehicle with the same model name uses the same setup.

2. Put every wheel dimension in writing

The current 2 PC-01 product page lists customized size and color options, but the final specification still needs to be agreed for the individual project. A complete dimension sheet should cover both front and rear wheels when the vehicle uses a staggered setup.

Ask both sides to confirm:

  • Wheel diameter
  • Front and rear wheel width
  • Bolt pattern or PCD
  • Front and rear offset
  • Center bore
  • Brake-caliper clearance requirement
  • Target tire size

Do not rely on a product image to determine these values. If the buyer does not have a confirmed specification, provide the vehicle information, current wheel markings, tire size, brake photos, and any available measurements so the supplier can explain what additional checks are required.

3. Define the two-piece appearance precisely

Use the product link and SKU 2 PC-01 to identify the spoke design. Then describe the required appearance separately. A short statement such as "silver wheel" can still leave several details open.

A useful appearance brief can include:

  • Center-section color or finish reference
  • Outer-section color or finish reference
  • Hardware color preference, if applicable
  • Center-cap requirement, if applicable
  • Reference images for the intended appearance

Ask for written or visual approval of the final appearance before the order moves forward. Do not treat screen colors, marketing photos, or an unconfirmed reference image as a guaranteed production finish.

4. Confirm brake clearance and vehicle changes

Diameter, width, offset, and bolt pattern do not provide a complete brake-clearance check by themselves. Caliper shape and spoke profile also matter. For vehicles with large or aftermarket brake systems, send a brake template or the measurement information requested by the supplier.

Also disclose any planned suspension changes, wide-body parts, spacers, or alignment targets. These project decisions can affect the desired wheel position. A professional installer should review the agreed fitment on the actual vehicle before road use.

5. Define the commercial scope of the quotation

A B2B buyer should make the requested quotation easy to compare. State whether the quantity is counted by wheel, by set, or by vehicle, and ask the supplier to identify every included item.

Your request should include:

  • Product reference: Forged Wheels (2 PC-01)
  • Quantity and how it is counted
  • Sample order or batch order
  • Items to be quoted with the wheels
  • Destination country, city, or port
  • Preferred trade or delivery terms for quotation
  • Packaging, labeling, and carton-mark requirements

Do not assume that caps, valves, fasteners, tires, or other accessories are included. Request an itemized confirmation. Lead time, shipment method, price validity, and payment terms should also be confirmed for the specific quotation rather than copied from a previous project.

6. Use a written approval sheet

Before a sample or batch is approved, combine the technical and commercial details into one controlled document. The document should identify the product reference, vehicle, front and rear dimensions, finish references, included items, quantity, packaging, and destination.

If one requirement changes, update the sheet and have both sides confirm the new version. This is more reliable than splitting important specifications across chat messages, screenshots, and verbal conversations.
